The Bootleg Beatles is the most successful and longest running Beatles tribute band across the globe. Formed from the original cast of London’s West End multi-media stage show ‘Beatlemania’, The Bootleg Beatles have become an institution with their note- perfect recreation of the hits from the world’s most famous songbook. Every detail is meticulously covered from costumes to authentic period instruments; from their witty ‘Liverpudlian’ banter to their inflection perfect vocal mimicry.
Such was their initial success that the band was invited to perform in the USA to commemorate The Beatles’ initial US tour 20 years earlier. Since then, the group has shared stages with Oasis, Road Stewart, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, The Corrs, Manic Street Preachers and Iggy Pop. They even performed at Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee Party at Buckingham Palace in 2002. In 2010 the Bootleg Beatles headlined the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival, drawing the biggest crowd in five years.
In 2014 alone, the group performed shows in Australia, South America, Holland, France, Belgium, Iceland, Denmark and Africa as well as their annual sell-out fifty-date concert tour of the UK.
