Jenny Morris, also known as The Giggling Gourmet, is a celebrity chef and radio personality from South Africa. She has starred in four series with Food Network, and has become a household name among audiences in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Her first series with Food Network, Jenny Morris Cooks Morocco, was commissioned and went to air in 2012. The programme was a hit among audiences and in 2013 the channel commissioned Jenny Morris Cooks The Riviera. Last year Jenny also appeared as a judge on the fast-paced culinary game show Chopped South Africa. More shows are planned for 2018.
Most recently she filmed in 2016 Jenny & Reza’s Fabulous Food Academy with fellow Food Network star Reza Mahammad, in planning is another series for 2018. Set to premiere in the Middle East this November, the programme sees the two friends combine their passion for food by opening the doors of their Food Academy to teach six would be chefs how to cook.
Jenny Morris has also written five cookbooks, Rude Food, Nude Food, Good Food in 2004, More Rude Food in 2006 and Cooking with Jenny Morris in 2012, Taste the World with Jenny Morris, World atlas of food 2016. As well as contributing to magazines including the South African Edition Oprah Magazine and writing a weekly column for an entertainment guide in South Africa.
Jenny is also a presenter on the radio station HeartFM, and continues to run the Cook’s Playground, which she opened in 1997 and recently moved to a larger premises as a cooking school and catering company.
