Andrea Falcone

Chef Andrea’s passion for cooking started from a young age. At fourteen he started his voyage into the culinary world by catering at his school and learning his craft from his school professor.

Hailing from Florence, Italy, Chef Andrea has worked at some of the most popular eateries, across the world, from Italy to London – finally settling in the UAE in 2010.

He mastered is culinary skills in his first Head Chef position in Florence, where his success propelled him to the world’s foodie city, London. He spent more time in Italy before making his move to the popular Bice restaurant in Dubai.

Chef Andrea has garnered a plethora of experience when it comes to Italian food in the Middle East and has had a tremendous impact to the Italian culinary scene. He has been involved in the organization of the Italian summit, which brings in to the region some of the top Italian Michelin starred chefs for various events and expands the awareness of quality Italian food.

In 2013, as Sous Chef at Bice restaurant in Dubai, he was an integral member of the team which secured Best Italian Restaurant at the What’s On Dubai Awards, and he continued to play an instrumental part in the winning of awards for Roberto’s (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) in the following years. His award-winning caliber, commitment to the industry and true Italian flair, has also scored him a nomination for Head Chef of the Year in the 2018 Caterer Middle East Awards.

In April 2017, Andrea joined Roberto’s Abu Dhabi as Head Chef where he was given full responsibility of the kitchen and team. His creative flair and passion for incorporating new products and trends to his menu, quickly propelled him to Executive Chef status at Roberto’s Abu Dhabi after one year.

He works very close with suppliers and regularly visits them in their warehouse in order to source from unknown farmers and organic producers that are not currently present in the region. He travels around the globe to meet those special producers and better understand the product and the story behind it. Most recently he visited Canada, Wales and Italy.

His time at Roberto’s has enabled him to work alongside some renowned chefs, including, Michelin starred, Enrico Bartolini, Miguel Viera, Nino di Costanzo and Alfio Ghezzi. Through these experiences, he developed his skill set and learnt how to be disciplined, inventive and stay true to his craft.

Today, Andrea is the Executive Chef at Roberto’s Abu Dhabi, where he brings his Italian roots and his passion for providing something special for every guest he cooks for. He is also extremely dedicated to his team and kitchen, and is constantly planning new, authentic and innovative dishes to complement to the menu, alongside developing the skills of his team – thus offering the best experience for Roberto’s guests.
